Remote Learning

In the event of our school being required to close fully e.g. due to Covid-19 (or to all except critical worker children and those from groups whose attendance is deemed essential), this page details the comprehensive programme of remote learning offered for ALL pupils via the school's learning platform ClassDojo.

For more information about how to access your child's ClassDojo portfolio, please contact head@isleham.cambs.sch.uk

Communication about that provision and onsite school provision for critical worker children and/or vulnerable pupils will be sent to all school families and updated at the point of any school closure.

Our remote learning policy has been drawn up to show how the school meets the 'Remote education expectations' referred to in the 'Guidance for opening of schools during the Coronavirus outbreak'

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/actions-for-schools-during-the-coronavirus-outbreak/guidance-for-full-opening-schools#res

Where a class, group or a small number of pupils need to self-isolate, or local restrictions require pupils to remain at home, our school offer daily remote education. All pupils not physically unwell with coronavirus (COVID-19) but who are at home as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19) should have access to remote education.

Our school continues to consider how to continue to improve the quality of the curriculum to ensure a strong offer is in place for remote education provision.

The detailed remote learning planning and resources to deliver this policy can be found on each child’s ClassDojo page. There are expected to be activities for at least 3 hours of a child's day.

Activities for each day will include an explanatory video and any downloadable or printable resources/ online worksheets.
