Getting ready for school

Each year, children join the Reception class at Isleham C of E Primary School the September after their 4th birthday from Isleham Pre-School as well as from a range of local nurseries and early years settings.

Admission arrangements are detailed on this website in the section entitled 'Applying for your child to join Isleham Primary School'.

The school encourages parents to support their children in being ready for school through their communication, social development, motor control and developing independence. Please read the documents below carefully to ensure your child is 'school ready' and confident.

If your child is interested in writing his or her name, you may also like to practice forming letters in the way be do in school... please see the notes below on how to form each letter with a lead-in stroke, ready for joining.
