Year 5 Victorian Day

Year 5 travelled back in time this week with their Victorian dress up day. The classroom looked different when the children arrived, with desks in straight lines and displays covered in Victorian images. A blackboard at the front of the classroom reminded children that 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness'. Pupils took part in a range of lessons and activities including cross-stitch, handwriting, times tables and exercise drills. In the afternoon, some light relief from the gruelling lessons came in the form of traditional playground games including hopscotch, skipping and hoop & stick.
